SCRIPT – THE MOST IMPORANT INVENION“Without language, every other inventions may never have existed”. This saying is indicated that language is extremely important for human to discover and create. So what would happen if humanity has never had language – tongue, script and gesture? Of course, the question is “ there is no human being. Indeed, it is the most important invention of humanity. In this writing, I am going to mention one of the parts of language: script.
In the preliterate – a society that has no written language – people saved their thinking on rocks by pictographic signs. It decribed their labour activities and natural phenomenon, which they could not understand. That is, script is the mean to saved information. After the preliterate, people continued that work. Earlier, they wrote on leather or piecies of bambo or clay. After that, paper was invented, it promtly became the most popular mean for writing because of its convenience. And then computer was appeared in 1946 and imperturbably was the most effective way. Until now, all kind of mean with scripts contain a tremendous amount of information which preserve all intelligence of humanity.As a result of contenting knowledge, what is being kept by writing is the background of the world’s civilization. With saved information, people started thinking and creating. For example, if Galile found out gravity but there was nothing to keep his studying, so were the plane and many kind of machines invented? Of course, the answer is “No”. Following generations would have to study again, and may be there will no another Galile. Therefore, saving information is really important because it is the base of inventions and all of inventions are essential blocks in building of the world as we know today.
